My Favorite Homes this week in Windsor Square

110 North Van Ness                                                              $4,100,000

Update: Sold for under asking at $3,995,000 in April after falling out of it’s first escrow. I chose this as one of my favorites (#5) because of the risks they took mixing traditional with modern.

Caravanning was fun this week! A lot of good homes to see and a new vibe in the air. Lots of agents out and about (which is not always the case).  This home stood out. 110 N. Van Ness is in an HPOZ area in Windsor Square so I was not expecting such a modern interior. I will say, some of the older agents in the neighborhood did not like what they did inside, but I thought it was sexy and refreshing. Hello black kitchen!! (and I love black windows!)

From the MLS: Simo Design creates modern contemporary spaces within a stunningly restored circa 1921 Prairie Style home. In keeping with the original concept of the architecture there is a feeling of openness and utility featuring newly added elements including the striking curved staircase, double length living room and "great" room kitchen, dining and sitting area with sleek floor to ceiling sliders opening to the resort-like rear yard. Four family bedrooms including a splendidly appointed master suite complete with dual sided fireplace, true spa bath and exquisite walk-in closet. Leaving no detail undone while paying strict attention to the needs of modern day homeowner is what sets Simo Design apart. 4 beds + 4 baths
