Favorite Streamline Moderne house in Brookside Village
UPDATE: Under contract as of 12/5/18
Favorite house in a long time!! I may want to marry it. $2.195m 2360 sq ft 3 beds, 3 baths. Almost missed this today on Brokers’ Caravan as I ran out of time but thank God I stopped by this most awesome Brookside home! My favorite feature is the windows. Best guest house in the area! I would have gotten rid of the strage screen in the dining room and maybe removed some of the clutter. It is a corner house but not in a bad way. Contact me soon if you want to view. I don’t think this will be around long. I have also highlighted it on Instagram.
FROM MLS: Situated amongst the environs of Hancock Park, in the highly-desirable enclave of Brookside, this internationally published, 1938 Streamline Moderne showcases period-appropriate details with the features necessary for today’s California lifestyle. The three bedroom, two and a half bath jewel box mini-compound lives comfortably on over 2300sf – including a detached permitted guest house. The lust-worthy details start with hardwood floors, impeccable original steel casement windows, glass block accents and hallmark curved walls. The curvaceous kitchen cabinets were rebuilt and topped with a 14-foot-long stainless steel countertops, and premium-level stainless steel appliances were added, along with a completely restored vintage Chambers stove. Classic California architecture is rare to be found, especially those with this kind of fastidious stewardship.
