The Ultimate Mother’s Day Experience

Show your appreciation this Mother’s Day by giving her the ultimate unforgettable Mother’s Day experience right here in the Larchmont area!

Start the day by heading on over to the Ebell Club of Los Angeles in Hancock Park for the Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet. This elegant brunch includes carved roast beef, made-to-order omelets, waffles and more- and did I mention endless champagne! There is also entertainment for all ages featuring Y-Huan Zhao string quartet and The Amazing Dave – "children’s magician extraordinaire." Reservations Required.

$52.00 – Adults
$32.00 – 6 to 18 years old
FREE – 0 to 5 years old
Ebell of Los Angeles: 743 South Lucerne Boulevard, Los Angeles 90005

Next, you can walk off that brunch at the Larchmont Village Farmer’s Market. (Psst: Dad’s- now might be a good time to slip the kids a few bucks and let them pick out the perfect gift for Mom.)

The family has been showering Mom with love and attention all morning, so by this point, Mom should be feeling pretty special. But let’s face it; what she really wants for Mother’s Day is some good old-fashioned alone time. That’s right-I’m talking about a break from well… you. It’s time to give her some well-deserved "Mom time."

What better way to escape life’s stresses than an afternoon at the spa? The Larchmont Sanctuary Spa is offering 3 special packages this Mother’s Day including the "Best Friends Forever" package (for couples or friends), the "Me Time Retreat" (what she really wants), and the "Pregnancy Retreat" (for the mothers-to-be).

While Mom is forgetting her troubles, you drop the kids off with the sitter, pick up a bottle of Mom’s favorite wine (for later), and swing by the Larchmont Village Florist. Imagine the look on her face when you pick her up from the spa with a beautiful bouquet of freshly cut flowers!

Now, it’s time to treat her to a Mother’s Day dinner. Since you were always the "totally prepared" type, you of course remembered to make reservations at one of the many nearby restaurants. Tip: Osteria Mamma is a favorite of mine as is Taylor’s Steakhouse in nearby Koreatown. And if you are in the mood for some pre-dinner cocktails, check out the bar at Kali on Melrose.

After a romantic Mother’s Day dinner, take an evening stroll through Larchmont Village stopping into our very own Salt & Straw for some of the best ice cream in the city. Then, head home and pop open that bottle of wine! (Just be careful not to wake the children!)

PS – Where will I be this Sunday?  Hosting an OPEN HOUSE…by choice!   See it here!
